Selected by Amy Eva Raehse, Executive Director of Goya Contemporary Gallery, for inclusion in the Annual Cumberland Valley Artists Exhibition 2020 at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.

This painting was selected by artist Ronnie Landfield from 1900 works submitted for inclusion in the 2018 National Juried Exhibition at First Street Gallery in New York City. It was also on view at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts from February 4- April 8, 2018. The "Eventide" series is inspired by the luminous intensity of the light on Hooper's Island.

This painting will be on view in the "When Darkness Falls: Night Explorations" exhibition at Kay Daugherty Gallery at Ann Marie Sculpture Garden and Art Center from October 11, 2019 January 26, 2020. It was recently exhibited at Gallery Blue Door.

This painting was selected by juror Eric Key, Director of the Arts Program University of Maryland University College for the 2019 Cumberland Valley Artists Exhibition and was also included in the Art in Bloom Exhibition- both at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.
I am interested in flashes of color and pattern glimpsed at the edges of our attention. As I ride my bike around Hooper’s Island, I catch glimpses of color in the marsh, in the grasses and flowering plants, patterns and bursts of color that explode into consciousness and then take up residence in the imagination.

This painting will be on view in the "When Darkness Falls: Night Explorations" exhibition at Kay Daugherty Gallery at Ann Marie Sculpture Garden and Art Center from October 11, 20190 January 26, 2020. It was recently exhibited at Gallery Blue Door. While living on a houseboat in the Hudson River in Manhattan, I was constantly amazed by the subtle colors and physical presence of mist coming up off the water at the edges of a day. I have explored this moment again and again. This current series incorporates a more expansive palette I have embraced in my recent work.
This painting was also included by juror Melissa Staiger in the 2018 Water Works exhibition at MFA Curve Gallery.

Recently exhibited at Gallery Blue Door.This painting was selected for the "Night- 28th Annual Juried Exhibition" at Strathmore Hall in Bethesda,Maryland. It was recently exhibited at Maryland Federation of Art's 50 Forever Exhibition at Circle Gallery and was included in the accompanying book titled "Celebrating the Creative at Circle Gallery 50 Forever". It was also exhibited at the Academy Art Museum.
It was an exploration of layering and how colors work together. It captures the essence of marshes, with endless grasses and sudden, unexpected flashes of color. It offers a complex ground which opens the door to conversation as each of us relates these patterns to a place or a memory or some experience.

This painting received an "Honorable Mention" by Juror Patrick M. Craig for the Summer Member Show 2020 at Circle Gallery and was selected for inclusion in the "Night-28th Annual Juried Exhibition" at Strathmore Hall in Bethesda, Maryland.
I am interested in the way that paint, brushwork, and pattern on canvas can capture an emotional moment, just as we overlay our observations in the natural world with the emotions that arise in our inner landscape. The electric violence and movement of the sky during a storm has always been exciting to me.

This painting was included by juror Melissa Staiger in the Water Works exhibition at MFA Curve Gallery in November 2018.

Recently exhibited at Gallery Blue Door. I took the title from comments of people who said this was reminiscent of a place with ancient rock formations or stones.
