Recently exhibited at Gallery Blue Door. This painting was selected by jurors Adah Rose Bittenbaum (Founder/Director of Adah Rose Gallery and Erwin Timmer, Artist/Co-founder of Washington Glass Studio and School for the upcoming Night-The 28th Annual Juried Exhibition at Strathmore Hall in Bethesda, Maryland (January 12- February 17, 2019). As in a marshland, depending on where you look, some patterns and colors come forward, and some recede. While it takes on the spirit of the landscape, it is pattern and color. It lives as a painting. This painting was also included in the 2017 "Water Works" exhibition at the Annapolis Maritime Museum.

This original miniature oil painting was included in the "Small Wonders" exhibition at Circle Gallery in Annapolis, Maryland.
In this painting, the hint of a structure began to arise as I explored a pattern of vertical brushstrokes. The Chesapeake Bay is both a backdrop for my paintings and a boundary I cross to reach my studio, so the idea of a bridge is a connection to the world of relationships and obligations, and also a symbol of the freedom to create in solitude.
